Terms of Use

CineDossier (“the Service”) is a private, invite-only research and production tool operated for a documentary production team. By signing in to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

Access is limited to team members and collaborators who have been added to the allowlist by an administrator. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared. Access may be granted, suspended, or revoked at any time at the production’s discretion.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you sign in with Google, you are also bound by Google’s terms. Notify us promptly at help@cinedossier.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything other than authorized work on the production;
• share, export, or publish project data outside the team without permission;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use;
• probe, scan, disrupt, or attempt to defeat the security of the Service; or
• use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

4. Project content & confidentiality

Information you enter — research notes, contacts, sources, footage references, questions, and tasks — belongs to the production and is confidential. Treat it as sensitive material and handle it only as needed for the project. The production may retain, back up, and remove content as part of operating the Service.

5. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the production and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
